55 Classic Dayboats put to sea for their first race of the season last Saturday. The CDB fleet is the largest at the Club and with all the starts from the Raptackle, they provided a great show for everybody watching from the Quay and the Meadow.
And with all those boats out, there were numerous very hungry sailors who came ashore to enjoy our chef’s delicious lunch time snacks. And talking of food…….

Cadet Friday 14th April
There is a great deal going on for cadets on Good Friday. It will start with the BSC Junior Regatta. There are trophies to be won and friends to meet again after the winter and an opportunity to get back out in the boats that have been so lovingly nurtured over the winter (!)

Following on from the Regatta and yummy tea at about 17:00, there will be a Cadet New Season meeting which will be an opportunity for cadets and parents to put faces to names and hear about all sorts of events that are planned for the season. Easter Day 16th April
It starts with the Cadet Easter Egg hunt at 10:00 and yes, Bosham Sailing Club has an Easter Egg hunt. More information is on the Club website.
Sunday Carvery 16th April 13:00
You know that you will get the most delicious lunch here at your Sailing Club, so bring your family here for an Easter celebration. There is one sitting only at 13:00 so why not come down early and enjoy a drink before your lunch. Cadet Easter Disco Sunday 16th April 21:00 – 24:00
And to round off the day, there is the over 13’s Cadet Disco and you can buy tickets for this on the door.
Easter Monday 17th April
There is more racing on Monday and again the details are on the Club website and in the Red Book and there will be hot snacks available at lunchtime.
We’ve had a great response from Club members who have signed up to help out with the racing this weekend but there are still plenty of duties in April that need to be filled. In particular, if you haven’t yet signed up to do a duty, please consider doing a duty this April and sign up via DutyMan or email the office.
