Good afternoon from a rather chilly Clubhouse as both the water and heating are currently disconnected! However, the building works are already progressing very fast with most of the old changing rooms already cleared out after just a couple of days.
Now that we have started we have had to adjust some of our program but the bar will still be open as normal every evening, weekends and Thursday /Friday lunchtimes. The regular Bridge, Scottish Dancing, Film Nights and Dick Pratt’s weekend lectures will continue as normal.
Periodically we will put pictures showing the progress on the website so that you can all see how it is evolving. On a serious note, if you are visiting the Club please do not enter any of the building works (which are fenced off) as this is both dangerous and in breach of the Health and Safety provisions. Please be aware that the builders will be parking all their vehicles on the Terrace during the daytime and there is a skip and fencing on the gravel track leading to the front door. You can still access the Club without difficulty but just be mindful of all the additional hazards.
