As if that wasn’t enough excitement, Saturday 20th August is Bosham Sailing Club Regatta
There is a wealth of information to be found here at http://www.boshamsailingclub.com/dinghies/bosham_regatta/ but to give a broad outline of the day, it goes – breakfast, registration, sail, tea, celebration and an amazing supper and dancing to Abba Inferno at Bosham Sailing Club! Here is a bit more detail:
At the beginning of the day, our Chef will be cooking breakfast and there will be hot snacks available throughout the day. More information will appear on the Club website in the next few days. Thanks to all the brilliant people who are doing a duty on this day, you will be able to register to sail from 09:00 (but if you want to drop off your entry at the Club office beforehand, then that will also help and please don’t forget to include your entry fee)
The first race starts at 12:00 and tea is served at the Club for all competitors from 14:30 and it is aimed to have prize giving at 16:00. Then the second highlight of the day……
BSC Regatta Supper and music from Abba Inferno on Saturday 20th August 19:30
Just think….. you’ve had a fantastic day either racing or helping and you’re just too excited to spend the evening at home, so why not join your friends at the Club and have the most delicious evening? The menu is
Rib Eye Steak
Greek Chicken (marinated in yoghurt, tarragon, honey and garlic)
New Potato Salad (with onions, chives, mayonnaise and parsley)
Sweet ‘n Sour Carrots
Lemon Mayonnaise Coleslaw
Mixed Leaf Salad
Cheese, grapes and artisan bread
And there’s no need to make a choice as you will get a taste of EVERYTHING from this menu PLUS the opportunity to listen and dance to one of the best tribute bands around at the moment, Abba Inferno. You’re going to hear all the old favourites, such as Money, Money, Money, Thank You for the Music, Super Trouper and who can resist the dance floor when Dancing Queen is played?! SO come to the Club to enjoy a fantastic meal and a bop!
All of this costs just £25 per head and reservation and payment is essential before the event. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org to reserve your place and as the tickets must be paid for beforehand, please either indicate that you would like the amount debited from your Club red card or phone the Office to pay by debit card.
Sunday 21st August Itchenor Sailing Club Regatta
If you still have enough energy, then Itchenor SC have their regatta the day after you’ve worn yourself out on the dancefloor, so this could be a great way of blowing away the cobwebs. Full information on the day can be found on Itchenor Sailing Club’s website.
What a great time to be a cadet racing in Bosham Sailing Club’s Junior Week. The sun shone, the racing was fair and fun, the partying extensive, and the hard work put in by so many Club members was immense. Yet again, an event that embodies the spirit of Bosham Sailing Club. Congratulations to all involved.
And just a note for your diaries that the Alexander Pursuit Race on 29th August has been cancelled.
