Children’s Hallowe’en Party Saturday 29th October 16:00 – 17:30
Who’s brave enough to risk meeting scary witches, ghouls, goblins and if it’s anything like last year a spiderman, a superman and of course a princess or two? Our cadet committee are planning all sorts of games and fun for younger children. Pumpkins will be the order of the day! Tickets cost £4 each and they can be reserved at the bar or by phoning the Club office.
BSC Draw Saturday 29th October 19:30
At 18:30 Happy Hour starts at the bar. What’s not to like?! There will be nothing remotely frightening about winning £240 as you enjoy a companionable early evening drink with your friends. Just be at the Club at 19:30 and you could be a winner.
Over 13’s Hallowe’en Disco Saturday 29th October 21:00
If your smallests have had a great time at the childrens party earlier in the day, then your not-so-smallests are going to have a brilliant time at the Hallowe’en disco which starts at 21:00. Tickets are £10 and can be purchased from the bar or by phoning the office.
RYA Safety Boat Course 29th & 30th October
If you have RYA PB2 and you would like to know more about the skills required when acting as a safety boat for racing or any other activity out on the water, then this is a very useful 2 day course running this weekend. There are 2 places available and the cost is £150 for BSC members. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org to reserve your place.
Racing Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th October
It’s the Bitter End and Bitter Sweet Trophy races this weekend for adults and cadets. So all you roughty toughty sailors who relish autumn sailing, get those winter warmers on for a good weekends racing. If the thought of racing is really a step too far at this end of the season, but you’d still like to be involved, we are looking for a Race Recorder and Powerboat crew for Saturday 29th October. Please sign up via DutyMan or phone the Office.
And we just know that you won’t forget that the clocks GO BACK 1 HOUR on Sunday 30th October.
Carvery Sunday 30th October 13:00
After a hard morning’s work, sailing or reading the papers, it’s almost impossible to come into the Club and resist having the most delicious Sunday roast. A full dining room is a testament of how popular these lunches have become and at £8.50, they represent great value. The carvery starts at 13:00 and as no reservations are taken, it’s worth coming as soon after that as you can.
The entry system has gone live this week, so in order to access the Club you are going to need to carry your Red Card with you at all times. And don’t forget that your card is not just a means of entry to the Club. It also gives you a 10% discount when you buy drinks from the bar so there are two very good reasons why you should always have your card with you when you are at your Club.
You are reminded that Sunday is the last day of the season that the Club launch Emma will be operating and that both the Bar and the Office will be working winter hours from Monday 31st October. Full details can be found in your Red Book and on the Club website by following this link http://www.boshamsailingclub.com/files/404/RED_BOOK_SECTIONS/ClubHours.pdf
