Four seasons in a day, first peace and tranquillity with beautiful morning sunshine, then rain, followed momentarily by snow and now a freezing wind from the north and wintery showers!

Friday night Oppies
This is your last call to book up for one of the cadet’s favourite events, the famous ‘Friday Night Oppies’. Its open to members and non–members (subject to a small additional charge) and hot food will be available throughout the evening up until 1930 hrs. It’s a great fun evening for all our Oppie sailors and we will have instructors on hand to provide some expert tuition. Our excellent Chef John has introduced a new snack for the weekends called the ‘Bosham Bap’ which together with the normal snacks will keep hungry sailors (and their supporters) full of energy over the Bank Holiday weekend (Saturday to Monday 1200 to 1600 hrs). There will also be breakfasts available on Sunday and Monday from 0900 to 1100, no need to book, just turn up and enjoy!
RYA Sea Survival Course – Saturday 14th May (0930 to 1800 hrs)
“A one-day course for anyone going to sea, providing an understanding of how to use the safety equipment on board your boat - a genuine lifesaver”
Have you ever wondered how to deploy the life raft, how to use a flare or how does an EPIRB work, well this is the course for you. This is a one off course for this year and should particularity appeal to all our cruiser members although it’s equally of benefit to anyone, especially those who have a life raft or safety equipment on board their boat. This course is being run especially for the Club by Hayling Sea School at a reduced fee of £75 per person (normally £100), non-members are also welcome at £95 per person. We have been asked on a number of occasions if members or non-members can hold events at the Club such as family functions, christenings, private dinners etc. Our Club Steward Mark would be delighted to discuss this with you and we will do our upmost to accommodate your requirements. Our new Chef John can even come out to your house to cater for your family functions so please let us know if we can be of assistance.
