There are so many things that people have asked to go in the Newsletter this week that in order that you don’t get an email as long as War and Peace, they’ve had to be omitted from this week and they’ll go in next letter.
Reserve, Eat, Enjoy – Breeze Food at Bosham Sailing Club
For this half term week only, Breeze will be serving lunch time snacks at the Club throughout the week from 12:00 until 14:00.
If you want to enjoy Breeze’s delicious suppers at Bosham Sailing Club, please note that Breeze cannot take reservations on the day. This is because Jane shops for all her ingredients very first thing on Friday morning and therefore all reservations must be made by 20:00 on Thursday evenings. And so, the menu for this Friday is:
Beef Casserole £9.95
Fish Pie £10.95
Tomato and Buffalo Mozzarella Salad £8.50
Strawberries & Cream £3.95
Cheeseboard £3.95
Please email food@boshamsailingclub.com by Thursday 28th May 20:00 indicating your choice of food.
And don’t forget that the Breeze’s BSC BBQ will be running at the weekend – especially welcome when you’ve had a hard day’s (or half a day, or a couple of hours or to be perfectly honest, no racing) sailing. If you haven’t yet tried this delicious food, you’re in for a treat.
Even More Rusty Laser Sailing Saturday 30th May 09:00

And following on from that don’t forget that Bosham Sailing Club is hosting a Laser Open Meeting on Saturday 6th June. Please see the website for further information and entry forms. And let’s see how unrusty you’ve now all become.
Club Draw Saturday 30th May 19:30
It’s OK! It still hasn’t been won. It’s now £610 and you’ll just need to make sure that any other function you attend doesn’t start until after 19:30 because you have to be at the Club at that time to be in with a chance of winning this mahoosive amount of money.

Senior Week 17th – 19th June
You know how you’d love to be part of this event, but you really don’t want to be sailing? Well, that’s very, very good news for you and us! We need you Powerboat Drivers and Powerboat Crews to keep watch over those who also want to be part of this fun event, but want to sail. As an essential part of this event, all drivers and crews are very welcome to take part in the social events that are being organised for the evenings and to enjoy the luxury of a few days on the water when the harbour isn’t overcrowded and the racing is relaxed, competitive and FUN. So, if you’re over 21 and want to sail, go to the website and download an entry form now and if you’d like to be part of the on- the- water crew, please sign up on DutyMan now ( or if you’re having trouble with that, on this occasion, phone the Office and they’ll put your duty on for you.

DutyMan
If you’ve already done a duty this year – thank you. If you haven’t, please look at Dutyman and allocate yourself a duty. There are some duties that we need to be filled quite soon, such as Classic Dayboat racing this Saturday. It’s always a great spectacle, so if you’re a Power Boat Driver, why not sign up and come and watch the racing on Saturday?
Club boats
As you are probably all now well aware we have increased our fleet of Club boats for members to hire and these are also used for our RYA training courses. We currently have available 18 x Optimists, 4 x RS Feva’s and 2 x Laser Bahia’s which members can hire and book in advance through the Office. These boats are essential to the Club to allow members to sail and also for our RYA training. However can we ask members not to ‘borrow’ items from our Club boats? This week we need almost all of the boats but when we went to use them we found that one trolley was on bricks as a wheel had been ‘borrowed’ and an essential part of one of the Bahia’s had also been ‘borrowed’. This really isn’t acceptable. We always try to help out members if they need parts for their boats such as trolley wheels and we do have some spares which can be purchased through Gavin.
ATWTWTW
You will be pleased to hear that the AGM that was held on Saturday 23rd May, went very smoothly under the chairmanship of the Commodore.
The Clarina Cup was raced after the meeting and on Sunday and Monday we had Club racing that was very well attended. Plenty of cadets getting in the last of their qualifying races!
