It’s OK. We haven’t been washed away by Storm Imogen and we’ve rescued the boats that hadn’t been tied down, so all is well.
Firstly and most importantly a huge thanks to Club members, Lindy Stocker and Tony Morrow, who brilliantly catered for 46 hungry people last Friday evening. The food was delicious and there was a great atmosphere as all the diners appreciated that non chefs were actually doing a remarkable cheffing job. So once again, thank you Lindy and Tony and while the Club is still looking for new caterers, how do we follow that? Well, this is what we do.

Courses at BSC
Dick Pratt has got a busy weekend. He’s running two of his “How To” courses on Saturday 13th Feb and Sunday 14th Feb. On Saturday, it’s the very interesting “Gusts, Shifts, and Tidal Flows in the Harbour” and on Sunday it’s the extremely useful “Learn to be an Assistant Race Officer” which is being repeated as it was so popular a couple of weeks ago. If you would like to attend, the cost is £6 per course and please email email@example.com to reserve your place.
And there are 2 places only left on the 1 day Diesel Engine course on 27th February. This is being held at the Emsworth School of Navigation but all booking should be made through Bosham Sailing Club. The cost of the course for BSC members is £80 and all reservations should be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org by 09:00 on Friday 12th February
Rugby on the Big Screen Sunday 14th February 14:00
Well, how’s this for a good idea? Why not have a romantic afternoon watching England play rugby against Italy in the Six Nations at your sailing club? You can make it a real occasion, as if you arrive at around midday, you can treat yourselves to a Panini or baked potato and have a beer from the bar and then have a marvellous afternoon watching rugby.
Bosham Sailing Club Bosham Masters 10– 12 June
Previously known as Senior Week, this prestigious event for those Club members who are just a bit too old to qualify for Junior Week, is back! However, it will now be run from Friday to Sunday and it has been updated and is now known as “Bosham Masters”. Already nearly 50 boats have registered an interest in sailing in this event and so clearly it’s going to be a biggy! If you think you may like to sail, why not email the organiser, Barry Colgate and let him know and by doing this, you’ll get all the latest information in the lead up to the Masters. The email to use is email@example.com And to celebrate this event, we would like a very special trophy to present to a winner. All the Club trophies, including those in the trophy cabinet, are already allocated to various sailing sections within the Club so we are asking whether you have got a trophy that you would be willing to lend to the Club for this presentation? If you have, please email firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll be in contact.
