Exciting news! The Bar have a new Gin in stock, ‘Mermaid Gin’.
“Mermaid Gin makes the perfect G&T; smooth and refreshing with a citrus zing, deep, rounded mouth feel, long finish and a hint of sea air. Mermaid gin is so smooth and enjoyable its seductive flavours can be enjoyed without drowning it in tonic. It is at its best when enjoyed straight up with a good tonic and plenty of ice but we also like to experiment with seasonal fruit and berries, a slice of cucumber or a sprig of rock samphire in season.”
You may well have seen in the news this week the proposed surcharges for drinks with high levels of sugar. Since the beginning of the year, and in preparation for this, the Club have been discontinuing certain drinks, especially those enjoyed by our younger members. In their place we have new range of fruit drinks all of which have low sugar content with no artificial colours or preservatives. The good news is that we have been able to do this without any price increases.
Hadron H2 Demo Day Friday 30th March
The Hadron H2 is a single hander launched 2 years ago. It is specifically designed, according to their website, "for those who may not be as fit as they used to be, and have put on a little weight perhaps, but have a lot of sailing experience and know a good boat from a duffer." It is light, quick, modern, comfortable to sail and is selling well. More information can be found at http://hadrondinghy.com/.
Two demo boats will be available at Bosham on Good Friday 30 March. If you would like to have a trial sail please contact Mark Stanton on email@example.com who is organising the day. Or just come, have a look and chat to the designer!
Dougal Henshaw Presentation Saturday 31st March 19:00
On Saturday 31st March we are holding a talk given by Dougal Henshaw titled ‘The man who designed Race Horses’. This will be about the life and boats of Ian Proctor and will be a repeat of the presentation given by Dougal at the 2018 Dinghy Show which was received extremely well. This presentation will lead nicely into our summer event, the Proctor Centenary Rally on the 2nd and 3rd June, further details of which can be found now on the website. The talk will be followed by a supper. Further details and booking information will be available later this week.
