Spring has sprung at Bosham Sailing Club. We’ve had warm sunny weather - great for sailing, we’ve had grey, windy weather, good for sailing and today, it’s so misty that if somebody was dismantling the Raptackle ready to steal it, we wouldn’t know, so not ideal for sailing, but Spring is definitely here.
Having had an absolutely stonking Easter, our caterers, Breeze are ready to feed you again on Friday. However…… please, please note the deadline for making your reservations. We MUST help them in order that they can help us. So to make your reservation for this Friday’s sumptuous supper, please email email@example.com by 17:00 on Thursday evening, indicating your choice of main course.

And now, what else is going to happen? Well, we’ve got…
This is Women on the Water which is an RYA initiative to get women of all abilities out on the water. The first series starts at Bosham Sailing Club this Friday 17th April and then runs for 6 consecutive Fridays. It’s a half day only course starting at 09:00 for a prompt 09:30 start and finishes at 13:30. You can use your own boat or the Club has Fevas and Bahias that can be used. Unlike last year, you are able to pay session by session so one session will be £20 but if you pay for all six, that will be £100. This is also open to non-members who will pay an additional £10 per session non-member fee, so come on ladies, whether you’re a beginner, or would like to get a bit more confidence out on the water or if you just want to brush up on your skills, gather up your family and friends and bring them sailing. Please email email@example.com to reserve your place.
Rusty Racing Saturday 18th April 10:00
This is for all you Laser sailors who have not yet got out on the water this season and who are feeling decidedly fluffy around the edges. Nigel Russell and Simon Radford are ready to sort you out and remind you of all the things that you don’t remember that you’ve forgotten. Not to be missed.

We’re celebrating. Boats in the water, first sails of the season, old and new members, to name just a few things. Join us on Saturday and for £5 enjoy fizz and canapés and good company. This was so much fun last time and it’s such a good opportunity to catch up with all your friends that you haven’t seen since the end of last year’s sailing. Email firstname.lastname@example.org to reserve your tickets
Club Draw Saturday 18th April 19:30
This now stands at £550! Think how many boat bits you can buy with that. Don’t forget that you need to be at your Club to win this so why not come along to the member’s reception as well. See above to reserve your tickets.
Marquee - Up Work Party 25th April
Due to unforeseen circumstances, this exciting event has been moved to Saturday 25th April. If you haven’t been part of the team before, then why don’t you give it a go? It’s made all the more tempting as you are now able to buy a Breeze breakfast to go with your Breeze hot chocolate so go to www.boshamsailingclu.com and click on the link to DutyMan and sign up and then bob’s your uncle, that’s your duty done for the year.
And that was the week that was……
Buzzing! We had a Club full of people for most of the week as we had extensive RYA Youth training happening, some private coaching and the week ended with a very successful Commodores Reception when Bosham Sailing Club hosted many of the Commodores and Harbour officials from other Clubs. Some of our cadets helped out and they did a brilliant job as attentive waiting staff, whilst Breeze provided witty canapés and your Flag Officers and other Club members were excellent hosts to our guests who, judging by the constant hum of conversation, had an excellent time.
So let’s get ready for a good weekend’s sailing and a very good members reception.
