Bosham Masters 2017 was brilliant. The sun shone, the wind blew, the competitors had some great sailing and there was massive help from a lot of Club members. Definitely an event not to be missed next year.
Our chef is on a well deserved break this weekend, so just for this week, there will be no Friday supper or Sunday Carvery. HOWEVER, there will be snacks available at lunchtime on Saturday and Sunday.
CDB Racing Saturday 22nd July
As the fete set up and BSC Open morning coincides with CDB racing, the area around the Club will be very busy and look very spectacular. Please be patient when bringing boats out of the dinghy park to the slip and please also note that the entrance to the Club by the kitchen will be closed and all members should use the main front entrance. Please also note that the CDB Slow division race starts at 10:20, not 11:20 as stated in the Red Book.
Bosham Sailing Club Open Morning and Church Fete Saturday 22nd July
As many of you will have seen, Bosham Sailing Club is having an Open Morning this Saturday. As well as showing prospective members the Club, there is the opportunity for people to have free taster sessions of sailing, paddle boarding or even a short ride in the Club committee boat. All these sessions must be booked and this is done online by following this link http://www.boshamsailingclubbooking.co.uk/bsc-taster-sessions.html
In the afternoon, on Quay Meadow, the Bosham Village Church fete will be open from 14:00 until 16:30 and the Club will have a stand promoting membership.
Dell Keys and BBQ at BSC Saturday 22nd July from 19:30
After you’ve had a good afternoon at the fete, why not come along to the Club for a BBQ and to listen to brilliant local band the Dell Quays? Both events are open to non-members so bring along your friends and family. The barbecue will be held on the Club terrace and will be in the very capable hands of R/C House, Michael Cover (under the supervision of Diane who helps our chef!) The barbecuers will be cooking from 19:30 so get here in time for the Club draws and if you’re a Club member, you could have food and cash! Please email firstname.lastname@example.org by 17:00 on Friday 21st July to reserve your places. Tickets cost £10.
The Dell Keys, who have played at BSC before to great acclaim, will be playing from about 20:30 so after the barbecue, you can dance the night away to some great music.

It was a great success and enjoyed by everyone who took part. However, the Masters Master, Barry Colgate is looking to hand over the reins to somebody else. What he suggests is that anyone who is interested should shadow him in 2018 and take over in 2019. Please email email@example.com for further details.
As most of you will have heard by now, the Club Secretary, Steve Shaw, has had an accident and injured some ribs severely. He is at home recovering but he will not be at work until the end of July at the earliest. In the meantime, please help the office by not phoning unless your query is urgent. Instead please email firstname.lastname@example.org and your query will be dealt with as soon as possible. Thank you.
