Good grief! Is there a plan afoot that nobody has been told about, that involves sailing in 30 knots of wind one day and a 1 knot zephyr the next, and this is supposed to improve one’s sailing prowess but in actual fact, all it does is turn us into Bewildereds of Bosham (or very good swimmers in the case of the fast handicap sailors in the CDB fleet)

Scottish Dancing Wednesday 21st September 19:30
Why wouldn’t you want to try to dance off all those delicious paninis that you’ve been eating at your Club over the summer? Scottish dancing evenings are FUN! There’s loads more information on the Club website, but basically if you can count and have a reasonable idea of your left and right, then this is the class for you. (Even if you can only do one of the above mentioned with any degree of consistency, then you’ll be OK!) You don’t need to bring a partner as everybody is swapped around but you do need to be prepared to laugh. It’s also a great way for new members to meet up with other Club members. Just follow this link for more information https://www.boshamsailingclub.com/files/404/scottish_dance_words_1.pdf

Chicken Kiev with Broccoli Mash £13.50
Almond & Herb Crust Lamb Rack with Rhubarb £15.00
Roast Trout with Spinach, Sage and Prosciutto £14.00

Cars in the Dinghy Park
Yet again, there are just a few Club members who are jeopardising our dinghy park lease which quite specifically states that there is NO parking for cars in the dinghy park. One of the 4 x 4 cars parked there last weekend, completely prevented a fellow Club member from removing their kayak from the rack and therefore ruined this member’s day. It is unacceptable.
Bart’s Bash!! Sunday 18th September saw Bosham Sailing Club turn out en masse, to raise funds for the Andrew Simpson Sailing Foundation. In almost zero wind, and therefore with a lot of extremely skilful sailing, Bosham boats were able to race the 3 Creeks Challenge and raise loads of money for Bart’s Bash. All thanks go to our Race Officer and all the volunteers who enabled others to sail and as soon as all the Bosham money is counted, the results will go on the Bart’s Bash website.
