There is another fascinating talk being held at Bosham Sailing Club this Saturday evening.
“In the Footsteps of Shackleton” a talk by Martin Thomas Saturday 25th February 18:30. (Supper is available afterwards)
This is an illustrated talk by club member Martin Thomas, of Shackleton’s extraordinary polar adventure. Martin also had his own adventures when he sailed to South Georgia and followed Shackleton’s exact route across the mountains and this will also form part of the talk. Club Draw Saturday 25th February 19:30

Being a Race Officer on the Committee Boat by Dick Pratt Sunday 26th February 10:30
This is another useful course for everybody who would like to help out with duties this year. The talk will give you lots of helpful tips and reminders about the differences in being a Race Officer ashore and a Race Officer afloat and is suitable for both those who have already helped out with Club duties and those people who are less experienced. If you would like to attend, please email firstname.lastname@example.org to reserve your places.
The 2017 DutyMan roster is now set up and is live. Please remember that everybody will need to request a new password in the first instance, but this can then be reset to your existing password in the “manage my account” section. Don’t forget that doing a “duty” is a great way to meet fellow club members and is usually great fun. Training at BSC
BSC has some fantastic courses planned for this year and booking is going to be so much easier this year as it’s all going to be done online. This will be live by close of business on Thursday 23rd February.
