You can’t help but be aware that very excitingly, America’s Cup racing is coming to Portsmouth imminently. Indeed, those of you who have been out sailing in the Solent over the past week or so, may well have seen some early test sailing. And not only are BSC Cruisers going to watch America’s Cup racing, they’re offering you the opportunity to raft up with them there on Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th July and then on Sunday 2nd August they are having a trip to Seaview on the Isle of Wight. The following is an extract from an email from BSC R/C Cruisers, Janey Gerber.
Spectating the America's Cup this weekend
For the first time since 1851, a stage of the America's Cup will be hosted in the Solent. BSC Cruisers will be catching the action on Saturday & Sunday rafting up in the main Spectator Area off Southsea; RIBs and other boats from the club are more than welcome to join us.
Racing on both days is from 1330-1500 with two preparation events for the 35th America's Cup Series. Let’s cheer Ben and the boys on!
If you’re interested in coming along, contact RC Cruisers email@example.com for further details.

Club Draw Saturday 25th July 19:30 and BIG DRAW NEWS
As many of you know, the regular Saturday night draw is now standing at a seriously mahoosive £690. The only way to win this is to be at your Club at 19:30 when the winning name is pulled out and this is exactly what will happen this Saturday. HOWEVER, if it is not won and the draw gets to £700 then you are in for some excitement! It has been decided that if we do reach the magic figure, then names will be drawn until the cash is won! That means you have to be at the Club at 19:30 to be in with a chance to win. A reminder will follow next week if the cash is not won this Saturday.
So there you are, lucky enough to be at Bosham Sailing Club, you find yourself at the bar and you think to yourself, hmmmm I wonder what lovely summery drink I can have today? What about a Blackberry and Elderflower Pimms or a Strawberry Pimms or a delicious sparkling rosé, or even the guest ale which at the moment is the aptly named “Summer” Just ask at the bar………
