OMG! For this week only, we are Bosham Sailing Club with big food news! Very sensibly many of us are sailors who enjoy good, wholesome food and it looks as though we may have found a chef who is excited about working at our Club.
Some of you may know Johnnie Gallagher from his work both at Itchenor Sailing Club and Linda’s Pantry and there is no doubt that he is a professional chef and extremely knowledgeable about his trade. He is keen to source locally as many of his ingredients as possible, and to provide good value for money in his menus.
Johnnie will cook for us this Friday evening and if it goes well for both him and our Club, then hopefully this will culminate in Bosham Sailing Club having our own full time chef. Johnnie is proposing to offer sailors food, good casual dining and A la Carte evenings and so the bottom line will be more food, more choice, more often. Happys?!
Sooooo, in the first instance, when we’re checking Johnnie and Johnnie’s checking us, this is the menu for ……

Won’t it be fantastic if this works out for us all?
There are one or two other things that you should know about.
Saturday 27th February 14:30 “Reading Weather Forecasts” by Dick Pratt
This is the last of Dick’s February talks and they’ve all been brilliant and useful. Please come along to this last one and for those of you already signed up, please remember the change to the time to 14:30. The cost of the session is £6 and places should be reserved by emailing email@example.com
All the rugby sailors in the Club are extremely grateful to Dick for agreeing to bring forward the time of his talk! This allows the rugby to be shown at the Club on the big screen.
Six Nations Rugby on the Big Screen at BSC Saturday 27th February 16:50
This is England versus Ireland and so if all goes well, then there’ll be a terrific rugby match which all the rugby sailors can enjoy especially as the bar will be open all day and at 18:30 it’s Happy Hour and this is followed by ……..
BSC Draw Saturday 27th February 19:30
This is now a landmark draw at £200 and if you happen to have won the rugby sweepstake as well, then you’ll be quids in!
RYA Training Courses
Don’t forget that your Club is a very successful RYA training centre. We have a variety of courses available for a variety of skill levels from complete beginner to improving advanced skills. Do you realise that it’s almost time to go sailing again? And therefore it’s time for you to reacquaint yourself with DutyMan and sign up to do a duty. We’re really after people to help with the first racing of the season that happens at the end of the month over the Easter weekend. Can you help? If you have any problems signing up, then either phone or email the office on email@example.com and we can help you sign up for a duty.
So don’t forget, reserve your place at our special supper on Friday.
