At the time of writing this (Tuesday), many of you will have noticed that our Club website is down. And as your Newsletter is sent via the website we are up the creek without a paddle! So apologies for being late, but there’s really nothing that we could do about it.
Phew! One major sailing event under our belts and a few more to go – keep reading the Newsletter to make sure that you don’t miss a thing.

Chichester Scow Nationals Saturday and Sunday 27 & 28 June
This really isn't as formidable as it sounds. It's 2 days of fantastic racing, based at Cobnor and it's suitable for all you Chichester Scow owners. Whether you are a regular racer or a less confident racer, why not sign up and give it a go? Think how satisfying it will be, to be able to say that you’ve taken part in a Nationals event! And of course there will be supper at the Club on Saturday evening. See club website for further details.
Club prize draw
At some point this has to be won! And now it's serious money. It's only £650!!! . So you know the form - be at your club at 19.30 and be in with a chance of winning some very useful holiday money.
Bosham Sailing Club regatta
With so much hard work going on behind the scenes, it behoves everybody who can, to sail in this event which is one of our Club’s premier sailing events. Apart from everything else, you know what a great spectacle it is and it's one of the occasions when all ages and all levels of sailing ability can be out on the water at the same time. This year we are very fortunate that this event is being sponsored by Strutt and Parker. So come on, you know your mantelpiece would look better with a trophy on it. Entry forms can be downloaded from the club website or collected from the notice board in the entry hall of the club.
Junior Week 2015
Now is the time when all the paperwork is being processed – and there is a lot of paperwork to process! So even though you may think it’s gone quiet, behind the scenes R/C Cadets is working frantically to sort out entries and if you or your children have entered, you’ll be hearing from us soon.
Pirates of Bosham
This weekend the farm shop Co-op in Bosham is having a Pirate Weekend. The store will be partially decorated with the help of your Club and this is all to support their Whizz Kidz initiative. The Co-op have helped us with a grant to buy buoyancy aids for Bosham School sailing so it would be great if you can pay the them a visit this weekend and help support their worthwhile charity.
TWTWTW
Senior week
The biggest thank you of the week quite simply has to go to Peter Lacey who made this event a singularly sensationally successful Senior Week. The weather couldn't have been better, the racing couldn't have been better and thanks also to our great race officer and his team. Getting 44 boats out on the water during the week, indicates that this event still appeals to seniors!
