BSC Training Goes Online
Yesterday, bookings for both our RYA and In-house courses, went live. It’s a great website and very easy and clear to use. It gives you information on the courses, dates, times and costs and it will make it much easier for people to book their places on courses. The link to the website is here http://www.boshamsailingclubbooking.co.uk/ and it can also be accessed via the training page of the Club website. The Junior Week page on this site will become available closer to the time and eventually booking for all Club events will be able to happen this way.
Quiet Thursday 2nd March 19:30
You’d better be quick! The popularity of this evening continues to grow and now members are even pre-empting the alert in the Newsletter and booking before the reminder. And so, there are 10 places only available for this week’s Quiet Thursday. Please email email@example.com by noon on Thursday 2nd March and if it’s at all possible, your place will be reserved.
Club Supper Friday 3rd March 20:00
This is the second part of our foodie weekend. And so the delicious menu for this week is:
Spiced vegetable rice with poached egg £8.50
Chicken, leek and pasta bake with garlic bread and salad £10.50
Chunky beef chilli, mash and red onion and apple salsa £11. 50
Baked salmon with tarragon sauce, mashed potatoes & vegetables £11.50
All served with seasonal vegetables

Dinghy Park Clear Up Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th March 09:30.
This is when the dinghy park benefits with a spring clean, you do a great job for the Club, get tea and coffee and it counts as a duty. To sign up for either day (or both!) please go to the DutyMan web page that can be accessed from the Club website.
Having done that, you’ll probably be quite hungry and thirsty, so isn’t it good to know that you can get a drink and a lunchtime snack from your Club?

Pre-Season Race Officer’s Social Meeting Saturday 4th March 18:00
This is a great opportunity for all those good people who are going to act as the Race Officer for the season’s sailing, to get together to discuss some of the changes being introduced this year and to discuss some points that have been raised pre-season. So come along at 18:00 for a drink and meet your fellow Race Officers.

This is very exciting as the draw is now up to £420 and as long as you are at the Club at 19:30, then you could be the recipient of all this lovely cash.

The Dell Keys Saturday 4th March Supper at 19:45 and 2 Sets of Music from 20:45
The Dell Keys played at Bosham Sailing Club last year and the evening was a sell out, so here they are again. There is food available and supper will be
O’Hagans Sausages and mash followed by a cheeseboard £10 (includes the music)

Sunday Carvery 5th March 13:00 **Please read below and note that reservations are required**
Well, we knew it was good, but clearly last Sunday everybody was in the mood for the best carvery in the harbour. Our chef somehow served over 65 covers and eventually the food did run out. Fortunately, members had read the newsletters which always state that when it’s gone, it’s gone, so you need to arrive as close to 13:00 as possible. As a result of Sunday’s sell out, a change has been made that hopefully will allow as many of you as possible to enjoy a Sunday lunch at your Club. So with immediate effect please reserve your places at the Sunday Carvery, by emailing email@example.com by noon on Saturday 4th March. Please note that for the best possible choice you still need to arrive as close to 13:00 as possible as there is only one sitting available. Reservations are now essential, no matter how small your party so if you haven’t already reserved your places for this best of lunches, why not do it now?

Film Night Monday 6th March 19:00 for a prompt 19:30 start
After a series of delays due to refurbishment in the Club, Film Night returns. This time we have “The Tourist” starring Johnny Depp and Angelina Jolie but almost a bigger attraction than that, is the super-duper hot dog that is included in the price of £6. This will be served during the interval, which will also give you the opportunity to buy a drink from the bar. And if you are extraordinarily fortunate, the ice cream seller with the red shoes will be around with ice creams for you to buy for £1 towards the end of the interval.

“One Pot Suppers on Board” by Alex Halswell Saturday 11th March 18:00
For all you people who go off sailing for days and need some on board sustenance then this demo is going to be so useful in giving suggestions for delicious meals that can be prepared in an invariably small galley. And if the food is going to be easily prepared in a small galley, then just think how straightforward it would be to prepare in an ordinary kitchen. This course must be valuable for everybody! More information to follow next week.
