An invitation to all dinghy sailors, race officials and support boat drivers and crews.
Our end of season ‘Prosecco, Nibbles and Prizes’ will be held in the Clubhouse on Saturday 21st November beetween 6.00 - 7.30pm and is for ANYONE who has been involved in dinghy racing this year from our racers to all those who have supported the racing. It’s a celebration of the racing season and hosted by our R/C Dinghies; Fiona MacFarlane. So if you would like to come along please contact the Office for tickets which are just £5 each.
After the success of last year we did wonder how well it would go this year, but it’s proving even more successful and very well supported. So please come along and enjoy our film next Monday 9th November which is ‘Don’t look Now’. Tickets are just £6 on the door and include a double sausage hotdog! Senior Week 2016
Following on from a previous newsletter item, sadly, no-one has come forward to take on the running of Senior Week in 2016, so regretfully it will not be scheduled to take place next year. However, the intention is to plan an event in 2017 that will reflect the changing profile of club racers.
An early reminder that unless you have winter storage, please can you remove your dinghy(s) from the Dinghy Park by the 31st December. If on the other hand you would like to keep your boat(s) in the DP all year round and save all that additional trouble in moving them, please contact Linda in the Club Office and she will be happy to help you.
Our launch service for the year has now finished and ‘Emma’ has been lifted out for her annual refit. The service will recommence Easter 2016.
The Office will continue to be open every weekday from 09:00 to 17:00 hrs but at weekends will only be open between 10:00 – 14:00hrs until Easter 2016. However we will always endeavour to assist you and you can contact the Office outside of these hours by leaving a message on the phone or ideally contact by email at firstname.lastname@example.org
Our Club boats (Bahia’s, Feva’s and Optimists) are now being put away for the winter so unfortunately they will no longer be available for hire. However, as in previous years we are looking to sell off our fleet of RS Feva’s which were purchased earlier this year. If you are interested in purchasing a Feva please contact the Office for full details. The Club do not look to profit from the sale of the boats to Club Members and we pass onto you the savings we make each year by bulk purchasing. The cost of the Feva’s is from £3300 depending upon age and condition which represents a considerable saving on the price of a new Feva.
And finally, the menu for Friday evening supper;
Pork and cider casserole £9.95
Fish pie £10.95
Bread and butter pudding and custard £3.95
Selection of cheeses
Vegetarian option available.
Please as normal make your booking by contacting Breeze at email@example.com to guarantee your choice.
