Never in the history of spectacular spectacles, has there been such a spectacular spectacle as there was at Bosham sailing Club last weekend. It was the Classic Boat Revival at its sparkling best and the sailors has two days of champagne racing. More of that later but these are the things that you need to concentrate on now.

This event will also be open to members of other Sailing Clubs in the Harbour to enter boats and bid.
Do you have a boat which you would like to sell? You can enter your boat for the auction and the only fee is 10% of the selling price which will go to Club funds.
If you have a boat you would like to enter please contact the Club Secretary by email: secretary@boshamsailingclub.com

And in the afternoon it’s BART’s BASH! It’s Bosham Sailing Club’s next biggy and to celebrate this great fund raising event, we’re going to fill the three harbour creeks! Our fantastic R/C Dinghies is running this side of the day and the aim will be to make racing available for Bosham boats of all shapes and sizes. And as this is a “Bash” there will be one turning mark only, per fleet, at the far end of each course, which will be selected according to the weather conditions on the day. The Fasts will go to the Emsworth channel, the Mediums will go to the Thorney channel and the Slows will sail in the Bosham channel. And very importantly the Oppies will have their own relay racing in the Cutmill pool area. The main emphasis of the day is FUN! For full information please go to www.boshamsailingclub.com
And so, at the end of this Newsbook, the Classic Boat Revival must be mentioned again. Indefatigably organised by Andrew Young, this was a weekend showcasing Bosham Sailing Club at its best. Photos will appear in the Press and on the Club website soon and the smiles and the turnout say it all. A big thank you should also go to everybody who helped behind the scenes (including the Bosham WI who provided a traditionally delicious Regatta type tea). A truly wonderful occasion for everybody who enjoys classic dinghies and so next year remember to come and be part of the occasion.
Regards
