BSC Red Book 2019
I am pleased to let you know that the 2019 Red Books have been printed and will soon be available to members.
I am very grateful to the team that has put in significant effort to prepare the Red Book and single out Chris Hitchings and Steve Shaw for particular thanks.
You will notice that the layout of the book has changed and improved which makes it clearer and easier to use. As there are always new events being put into the calendar, additional training days, courses and general information we have referred you to the website to ensure that the information is as up to date as possible.
Based on advice concerning GDPR and a wish to try to be as accurate as possible, the Flag Officers decided again not to include member contact details. You are all aware that the contact details of members who have given consent can be obtained from the member section of the Club’s website, which is password protected. If you need a reminder about how to access this, please contact the Office.
For Club members whose address is recorded as within the PO18 postcode who pay by Direct Debit, Red Books will be available to collect from the Club from Saturday 5th January. For those in the PO18 postcode who use other payment methods, their Red Book can be collected from the Office immediately once payment has been arranged. In order to facilitate ease of pick up for those within PO18 who may not be able to come to the Club in business hours, with a couple of days’ notice, we hope to be able to offer collection from the bar.
For Club members who are resident outside the PO18 postcode and who have a current Direct Debit instruction in place, Red Books will be posted to you, using a commercial postage service which offers the Club beneficial rates. Your Red Book should be delivered by 6 January. Members who reside outside PO18 who utilise a different payment method will receive their Red Book by post as part of a bulk posting after payment has been received.
Best wishes for 2019
