14th - 16 May 2021

*** Sunday 16th May RACING CANCELLED***

Notice to 2021 Bosham Masters competitors 13th May 2021

To All Competitors

Thank you for entering Bosham Masters 2021. Due to Covid Restrictions we are unable to have a welcome briefing for all competitors, so below are a few updates and reminders.

Key event documentation and communications will posted on the club website and displayed on notice boards around the club terrace and marquee area. Nick Fox our Race Officer and the Bosham Masters organisers will be around on the terrace before the event if you have any specific questions.

The following documents can be accessed below:

  • 2021 Bosham Masters Notice of Race
  • BSC Open meeting Course Sheet A F
  • BSC Course Chart 2021
  • BSC Open Meeting SI's Bosham Quay
  • Notice to Competitors 13th May 2021 Final Race Programme

Competitors are reminded that they need to sign on prior to each day of racing and to sign off in the normal way.

The forecast for tomorrow looks like we will have NW moving to W 8-10knts (gusting low teens) the committee boat will be in the Region between Itchenor buoy and Chalkdock on the South side of the Itchenor channel. Any update or changes to this will be posted on the noticeboards.

Clause 3.9 of the NOR has been amended, please see Notice to Competitors 13th May 2021 Final Race Programme.

Following racing afternoon teas will be served to all sailors and volunteers seated at tables of 6 people. Please be aware that there is limited seating and that if you have finished your teas there may be others waiting for a seat.

As for the briefing it will not be possible to hold a prize giving for everyone at the end of the event which is a shame for all involved. A prize giving is not only an opportunity to celebrate the success of the winning sailors but also to recognize everyone who has contributed to the event.

Therefore, please join us in thanking all the volunteers:

  • Nick Fox and his Race Management team
  • Pauline Perkins for processing all the results
  • Gill Craig and her wonderful team of tea ladies for baking, making and serving the tea, sandwiches and cakes
  • All the patrol boat drivers and crews for looking after us on the water
  • Mike , Kathrine and Gavin for all their hard work behind the scenes.

Trophies and prizes will be presented by the Class Captains at a time and location that works best for those involved.

We hope you all have a great weekend

Jacqui and Alastair Seaton
