BSC Youth Sailing Fund
The fund is available to assist any Member under the age of 25 who may need some help with expenditure to proceed and/or improve his or her sailing experience and skills. The fund is used at the discretion of the trustees, as advised by RC Cadets. Additionally, the fund now extends support to our Club initiative which offers sailing experience to the pupils of Bosham Primary School.
Over the past few years the fund has assisted young sailors in taking part in such competitions as the Mirror World Championship, the Mini-Transat International, the 420 Ladies' World and European Championship and the Topper Zone Squads, as well as helping Cadets with equipment and transportation cost.
Details of how to apply for funds can be obtained from RC Cadets. All applicants must be under the age of 25 and must have reached an approved standard of sailing.
The fund relies on the generosity of Members, many of whom have contributed liberally both with direct donations and by arranging fund- raising events- our thanks goes out to them. We know and understand that there are many demands on our purse strings but any amount donated really helps our young sailors. Should you wish to make a donation, please make your cheque payable to "BSC Youth Sailing Fund" and sent it to the BSC Club Office. Should you wish to advertise a boat for sale, you can do this at no cost. All we ask is that you make a donation to the youth fund when it sells.
