BSC Cruisers
Sail and motor cruising
Cruisers of all types are welcome at Bosham Sailing Club. Chichester Harbour is a beautiful spot to keep your yacht and as a member of BSC you have free use of our launch Emma to take you to and from your mooring.
If you prefer more independence, tenders can be kept in the dinghy park, arranged through the club office. Space in a storage room for oars and outboards can also be organised through the Manor of Bosham. All you need to do is make the time to get on the water!
Enjoying time on the water in and around the harbour and Solent comes easily, whether it be lunch on board anchored off East Head or a longer cruise to destinations such as the Isle of Wight or the Beaulieu River. All cruisers enjoy sharing their experiences, good and bad, so if you want to know where not to anchor at East Head, or when the Chichester Bar really shouldn't be attempted, do get in touch.
The club organises races and rallies for cruising yachts, most famously the Nab Tower Race. There are other organised events too, including rallies, usually in the Solent, and a racing weekend in September. More frequent racing is organised by Chichester Cruiser Racing Club (www.ccrc.co.uk). If cruising is more of interest than racing, we can introduce you to fellow members wanting to head in the same direction.
The club offers many training opportunities. RYA navigation and seamanship, diesel engine and marine radio courses are all available.
We are a friendly bunch and welcome rallies from other clubs. Contact us to help plan your trip. We have a fabulous chef for a special rally dinner.
