Safety Bulletin to all members - HighSpeed Youth RIB Behaviour in Bosham Channel
Chichester Harbour Conservancy Safety & Conduct Notice Date: 27th May 2026 Please see attached a bulletin issued by the Harbour Conservancy following a serious incident on 25th May involving a group of teenagers operating high-powered RIBs at excessive speed within Chichester Harbour. Sailing Community Unites in Mallorca for Inaugural Simpson Cup
The international sailing community came together in spectacular fashion on 16 th 17 th May 2026 for the inaugural Modern Six Metre Pro-Am Regatta , competing for the newly created Simpson Cup in support of the Andrew Simpson Foundation. UK Finn Southern Championship at BSC
Image © Jeremy Board On Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th of May, the 2026 UK Finn Southern Championships returned to Bosham. Thirty Finns descended on the historic shoreline on Saturday morning. Big Bear Voyage Round Britain for BBC Children in Need
One of our BSC members, Martyn Chase, is taking part in the BBC Children in Need Big Bear Voyage. Big Bear is a J160 (53ft) skippered by Jonathan Brewin. The boat set off from Hamble last week (May 14th). Martyn will be taking part and sailing around the north of Scotland from Stornaway to Inverness at the end of June.
