W4 GBR1 - European Rowing Coastal Endurance and Beach Sprints Championships 2025
On Tuesday last week after months of training, we finally find ourselves in Türkiye to meet the tail end of Storm Amy , which made the shore break huge and the seas wild. All training was cancelled and the heats moved from Wednesday to Thursday. No chance to get a feel for the course, a cox we'd never rowed with and beach sprint end to the race. Swift Regatta at HISC
Bosham rowers turned out in force on Saturday for the inaugural Swift Regatta hosted by CRAC at Hayling Island Sailing Club. A 6k run up the Harbour with a shortened 2k for the novice crew saw the teams fly up the first straight toward Northney then fight hard to push back to the finishing buoy against wind and tide. CDB Ruby Anniversary celebration
On Saturday 27 th of September the CDB Fleet took the opportunity during their trophy weekend to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the establishment of Classic Dayboat racing at Bosham by inviting past and present CDB Class Captains together with some founder members, to cut the Ruby Anniversary cake which shortly after was enjoyed by all those present. Bosham Primary School Collaboration
On Friday 26th and Monday 29th September, BSC welcomed twelve Year 6 pupils from Bosham Primary School to take part in taster sailing sessions fully funded by Bosham Youth Sailing Fund (YSF).This was the first time the majority of these pupils have had the opportunity to get out on the water and from all the smiles, laughter and general banter, they clearly had a fantastic time.
