    BSC Mill Wheel Project

    BSC MILL WHEEL PROJECT Earlier this month a small team of volunteers carried out some essential restoration work to the trestle supporting the axle of the small mill wheel under the club. Over the years the foundations and timbers had badly decayed and needed significant work. The first stage of this work was carried out in January by a contractor who rebuilt the solid plinth in the wheel

    The Clean Harbours Partnership is formed of local interest groups around Chichester and Langstone Harbours and focuses on the issue of harbour pollution and water quality.     Last weekend three BSC cadets competed in a fleet of over 160 boats at the Topper National Series held at the Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy. Charlie Mealing, Olaf Storton and Matthew Board sailed excellently in a big fleet and challenging conditions with winds that varied over the two days from 5kts to 25kts! All three cadets did BSC proud with Matthew achieving top 10 finishes in the 5.3 Fleet

    Pippa in Palamos

    Pippa Shepherd recently took part in the 24th Palamos International Optimist Trophy in Spain. With many of the best international juniors sailors there were a total of 550 boats from over 22 countries. Pippa sailed her socks off in 9 races over 4 days finishing an impressive 146th and 2nd GBR girl. Next stop Valencia followed by Lake Garda.
