Antigua Sailing Week
Congratulations to a combined team from Bosham and Itchenor that have returned from Antigua where they ran a two boat campaign in the 53 rd edition of Antigua Sailing Week. Hermes, a Pogo 12.5 helmed by Alistair Langhorne, won their class for the week overall. Congratulations to Bosham sailor and BSC instructor Cossie Lewis who was one of the three helms for Exeter University whose sailing team won the British Universities team racing championships last month. University team racing is done with 3 boats per team, typically in Fireflies, with each team trying to establish an overall winning combination for their team over their opposition. The Nab Tower Cruiser Race 2022
The day of the 2022 Nab Tower Race dawned grey and damp, what a contrast to last year. The Easterly wind built as forecast and most competitors had one reef in by the time they had reached the starting area . Race Officer Alastair Johnstone set the best line possible given the wind direction and the slow fleet started at 10.00am as promised.

Junior Regatta 2022
Entries are open for the 2022 BSC Junior Regatta. This year we are opening up the event to under 19 sailors from all harbour clubs. Non BSC sailors will be able to sign in on the water provided they have pre-entered and safety cover is available from their club to escort them to and from the race area. Amendment to Sailing Instructions
The Sailing Instructions for club racing are amended as follows: 7. Class Warning Flags Competitors are referred to the NoR and the following information: (a) The Finn class flag shall be the Finn insignia flag (replaces flag J from NoR). (b) Where separate starts are programmed for slow handicap and cadet handicap the cadet class flag shall be flag Numeral 3.
