Launch Service 'Emma'
Please be advised of Launch Emma's operating hours over the Easter Weekend, as below.
- EASTER FRIDAY (18th), EASTER SATURDAY (19th) and EASTER SUNDAY (20th) - 10:30 to 18:00
- EASTER MONDAY - 08:30 to 18:00
Membership includes the free use of our wonderful launch service on 'Emma' for ferrying members and their guests to and from moorings. All users of the launch service will be required to show their Bosham Sailing Club Membership Red Card and to sign in guests on board.
Operating dates and times:
2025: 29th March to 26th October.
Mondays and Fridays - By prior arrangement with the office between 09:00 - 16:30, subject to availability.
Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays - 08:15 - 18:00
Extended summer hours in 2025 - 08:15 - 19:00 from 24th May to 14th September.
The maximum complement for the launch, including the skipper, is 12 persons and the launch will not be taken beyond Deep End, unless specifically authorized and pre booked with the office. At low tide, operation may be restricted by access to the lower quay.
During operating hours the launch driver can be contacted on Channel 37, call sign "Bosham Launch", or by telephone (preferred) on 07507 154298. Please be aware of peak times when the service will be busy and contact the launch driver with sufficient warning to arrange your end of day pick up. Prior notification is essential if you are arriving in to Bosham and we have not taken you out earlier. The service will finish promptly to allow for pack up and prep for the next day. Members should not expect instant service at busy times or ask the launch driver to wait beyond normal finish time.
BSC reserves the right to suspend the launch service at any time, at the discretion of the launch driver, bosun or sailing manager. This could be due to malfunction, inclement weather or driver/passenger safety. Please check ahead of time if your use of the launch is critical, e.g. for coming ashore after a late arrival into Bosham.
