In 2021 Bosham Sailing Club's mission is to provide high quality training for all ages and abilities. Our range of courses go from beginning sailing courses for Youth (RYA Stages) and Adults (RYA Levels) all the way through to Race Coaching delivered by highly regarded qualified race coaches.
BSC also offer other courses including RYA Powerboat Level 2, RYA Safety Boat, RYA Dinghy Instructor and First Aid.

BSC Adult Pathway 2021 below.
RYA Adult Level 1
This 2-day course is a great introduction to dinghy sailing for adults. The course includes how to sail in all directions, including awareness of launching and recovering.
RYA Adult Level 2
This 2-day course builds on the foundations of Level 1. The course includes rigging, launching, sailing in all directions. Capsize recovery and essential safety knowledge included also.
1 to 1 Lessons

RYA Powerboat Level 2
This 2-day course provides skills and knowledge to drive a powerboat. The course content includes close quarters handling, planning speed manoeuvres, man overboard recovery and collision regulations.
RYA Safety Boat
This 2-day course provides skills and knowledge of recovery techniques for a variety of crafts. This course will give you the ability to provide safety cover in a racing or training environment. Powerboat Level 2 certificate is required to participate in this course.
This 1-day course is designed to teach you what to do in situations ranging from minor ailments all the way through to serious medical emergencies. The course includes a variety of areas including performing CPR, use of appropriate dressings, recovery position as well as much more.
RYA Dinghy Instructor
This course is normally run over 5 days and upon successful completion of this course you will be able to teach dinghy sailing. During the course you will learn the RYA Syllabus, skills of being a successful instructor and effective teaching styles. The pre-requisites needed for this course are:
- Be aged 16 or over
- Hold a valid first aid certificate
- Hold a valid Powerboat Level 2 Certificate
- Hold the RYA Safe and Fun Certificate (completed via RYA interactive online course)
- Have completed the pre-entry sailing assessment
