BSC Feva Race Coaching
These BSC sessions are aimed at racing sailors in Fevas. Perfect for sharpening up your technique for the coming season. The instruction will focus on improving aspects of racing and boat handling, in particular spinnaker work. Also including starting, tactics, boat speed, mark roundings, boat setup, crew work, rules. This will be delivered in the form of briefings, on-water sessions and de-briefing with practice racing and exercises focusing on specific skills. The sessions will be taught by RYA-qualified race coaches.
Day three on will be for boats participating in the Feva Harbour Series racing. We'll aim to put all that has been learned into practice in a real race situation with a pre-race briefing, on-the-water observation and feedback from the race coach for each race, and a de-briefing of the day. We won't be able to coach during the race though.
Recommended age range: 10-16
Entry requirements: Participants should be regularly participating in BSC cadet racing
Cost: Just £65 per day per boat. £160 for all three days. Please include helm and crew names in the booking.
It is expected that students will use their own boats for this training at own risk (see T&Cs).
