Committee Boat Familiarisation and Starting Practice

2nd April, 12:00 - 15:00
954287 1024xdne

There are almost 60 racing days when Glad Emma is expected to be in use in 2022 for racing. This session is for race teams to familiarise themselves with the safe and practical operation of the committee boat and the CB race procedure.

The intention is to go afloat on Glad Emma and cover everything you would be expected to do to run racing from the boat:

  • Preparation
  • Start-up and casting off
  • Motoring
  • Anchoring
  • Start lines
  • Start sequences and finishing
  • Returning to mooring and pack-up

There will also be the opportunity for sailors to get in some early season starting practice.

Please sign up in advance so we have an idea of numbers, both for the committee boat and for sailing.

Tickets

Any available tickets are member only.
