BSC Optimist Race Coaching
Pick up the skills and knowledge to help get to the front of the fleet
These BSC sessions are aimed at sailors who have already had some experience of racing and will be racing in the Optimist fleet this season. We'll focus on improving various aspects of racing including starting, tactics, boat speed, mark rounding, boat setup, rules. This will be delivered in the form of briefings, on-water sessions and de-briefing with practice racing and exercises focusing on specific skills. The course will be taught by RYA-qualified race coaches.

It is expected that students will use their own boats for this training at own risk (see T&Cs).
Race coaching sessions will run on the following dates:
- 1st-2nd April
- 26th-27th May
- 29th-30th July
Recommended age range: 8-12
Entry requirements: Participants should have some racing experience and be racing in the BSC Optimist fleet this season.
Cost: £65 per day, £130 two days
