This RYA forum is aimed at officers and members of sailing clubs to consider the motivations and experiences of members, both present and future.
How people experience a club impacts the choices they make, such as:
- Will they join the club?
- Will they rejoin next year?
- Will they take part in club activity?
- Will they recommend your club to others?
- Will they volunteer?
The informal workshop, hosted by the RYA, will look at how clubs can gain confidence in welcoming and retaining members from different backgrounds, and ensure future growth and development.
Officers and members from other sailing clubs as well as BSC members are most welcome to attend this free event. Please book here via RYA so that we can manage numbers.
Visitors please see attached details of how to find the club and note that high tide (neaps) is at 19:47 so parking on Shore Rd may not be possible. The village car park is five minutes walk from the club and free from 18:00.
