Winter cadet sailing

The main season may be over but sailing does not stop. In addition to the six IOCA Oppie training days and the three remaining two-day Feva harbour racing series, there will be a club safety boat on the water on the following dates through the winter, primarily to facilitate casual sailing by cadets. Depending on numbers and weather conditions there may be some informal racing possible. Adults also wishing to sail at these times are more than welcome.

Sailors intending to launch should sign-in on the day and take note of the specified patrolled sailing area and patrol hours. The Risk Statement (clause 2) and Disclaimer of Liability (clause 3) in the BSC Standing Notice of Race applies (found under 'Race Management' at the bottom of the website). In addition, the decision of the patrol boat driver or Sailing Manager about when conditions are safe to sail (or not) is final.
