The World's Toughest Row - Part Two

It was fantastic to see Steve and Jon back in the clubhouse to let members know how they got on rowing the Atlantic in the World's Toughest Row this winter.
They delivered a fascinating talk on how it went, from a stormy first 10 days to beautiful, sunny scenes, getting out for a swim at the deepest point in the Atlantic (checking on the GoPro for anything which might bite them first), dealing with flying fish and the risk of marlin strikes (which happened to other boats), using Christmas cake as ballast, losing seven stone between the four of them and the final elation of arriving in Antigua, tired but ecstatic at completing their epic 44-day journey.
You can still donate to one or more of their three chosen charities, Cancer Research UK, Final Straw and Diabetes UK, at https://lessonsfromaboat.com/donate/.
