Cadet Super Sunday Series
Sunday was the first ever Cadet Super Sunday fleet racing series at BSC. The club is incredibly proud of the 12 Optimists, 9 topper and 5 RS Feva sailors who were out braving the chilly NE wind for some fantastic competitive sailing over 12 separate regatta style starts.
This event looks to be a popular addition to the BSC sailing calendar. We are all now looking forward to the next event on 9 May when the pizza van will also be visiting!

Chichester Festival Theatre - A Year Like No Other
After a year in which theatres have closed, reopened and closed again, hear from Joanna Walker, Chichester Festival Theatre's Director of Development, on how the theatre has been navigating the pandemic, what's been happening off stage in our community while the doors were closed, and how Chichester plans to welcome audiences back in 2021.
The BSC Bar is OPEN!
It was fantastic to open the terrace once again on Monday, and thank you to everyone who popped in for a drink or two!
The weather held for us, and looking forward to the rest of the week and the weekend, it looks as though we'll continue to be lucky. We'll be extending opening hours as the evenings get longer and, more importantly, warmer - you can find all the times here.
If you need to top up your red card, you can do it here.
We'll be introducing food before too long, but in the meantime, look on the board for the range of snacks we're serving.
We are following all the government guidelines, so please make sure you are six to a table or two households only. It is really important that nobody sits on the wall.
ROCK UP AND ROW WEDNESDAYS
During lock down we've had a number of members enquire about all things rowing and paddlesports and we're keen for as many members as possible to experience what BSC rowing and paddlesports has to offer.
The plan is to test a couple Rock Up and Row Wednesdays where we meet up and get you out on one of the rowing/paddlesports fleet show you the ropes and meet up with other members in the division. This is open to all members and free.
- Session 1 - Wed 21 April 17:30
- Session 2 - Wed 28 April 12:30
Aim is to meet on the terrace. If you'd like to join or have any questions email Paddlesports@boshamsailingclub.com
We will have to limit numbers to ensure that government guidelines are being met as such booking is essential.
UK National Optimist Team Selection Event
Congratulations to India Eastwood and Zac Shepherd for being invited to participate in the selection event for the UK national optimist team. With just 70 children being invited to participate from across the UK, this is a real achievement.
The selection event will consist of 4 days of gruelling racing at the National Sailing Academy in Portland during early May. After this, teams to represent the UK will be chosen.
With the teams being open to under 15's and India and Zac being just 12, they are going for the experience rather than with expectations of being selected at this stage but will be flying the Bosham bell with pride!

Water Quality Petition
Ban Water Companies discharging raw sewage into water courses.
Ensure Water companies treat the sewage they are responsible for. Not discharge it into rivers and water courses.
After all what goes into the ocean comes back as the fish we eat.
