A New Rib for BSC

Please give a big Bosham welcome to 'Gull' - a Ballistic 430 rib - who has joined the fleet of BSC safety boats. Gull is 4.3m long, so a bit shorter than our existing ribs, and is powered by a 30hp Suzuki engine, swapped over from Morgans Seven. She's a nippy little thing, so needs to be careful with the harbour speed limit. As she's a bit smaller than our other ribs, her carrying capacity is limited to five, although with a low, full length console seat, she's plenty comfortable for two and ideal for training and club patrol duty.

Watch a video of Gull arriving in to port here.

Gull replaces the venerable 'Morgans Seven', who has been retired from club powerboat duty, after giving sterling service. Many members will have fond memories of uncomfortable wet days spent in her and will not be sad to see her gone. Morgans Seven is available to a good home as a bare boat with no engine or controls, plus cover and trailer, in return for a donation to the Youth Sailing Fund. Contact the bosun for more details.
