BSC at the Vogalonga 2025
Five Bosham sailing Club members had the privilege of rowing in the 48th Vogalonga, held in Venice on the 19th May.
Vogalonga is an act of love for Venice and the waters that surround it, for its lagoon and its islands, for rowing and its boats, and it maintains over time the purpose for which it was created: to spread knowledge and conscious respect for the nature and culture of the city. The event is open to rowing boats, with no restrictions regarding weight, size, or number of rowers. Vogalonga is a tribute to past navigation techniques, an event created to promote the use of sustainable boats and to protect the city of Venice from wave motion.A 30-kilometer route between the lagoon, its small islands, and the magnificent Grand Canal: a non-competitive journey that celebrates the beauty and tradition of Venice. Valiant was one of the few St Ayles Skiffs to complete the 30 kilometre route.
