The 50/50 Lottery at Bosham Sailing Club

The Bosham Sailing Club 50/50 Lottery needs you! Entry costs less than a couple of drinks per month yet raises valuable funds for the club while giving something back to entrants in prizes. I am the lottery promoter and would like to invite you to join.

BSC's 50/50 Lottery has been running since June 2013. The money raised each month from subscriptions is split evenly. Half goes back to lottery entrants in the form of three monthly prizes and a quarterly bonus; the other half is used to fund projects aimed at benefiting all members of the club.

Over the past eleven years, 450+ lottery members have shared around £70,000 in prize money. The quarterly "Barry Bonus" (named after the lottery's founder) is usually over £1,000! The draw is held live in the club bar on the second Friday of every month at 19.30hrs. You do not have to be present to win a prize.

Since its inception, the lottery has provided funds for new changing rooms, gates, terrace furniture, kayak and bike racks, tandem paddleboards, kitchen and bar equipment and recently a tractor for the dinghy park. Other lottery funded projects are coming soon, and suggestions for new projects (which are evaluated by a four member committee) are always welcome.

A monthly subscription costs £8, payable monthly or annually by direct debit or standing order.
