BSC Cruiser Race Weekend
8 boats took part in the BSC cruiser race weekend competing for the Bosham Pint and the Bosham Barrel trophies.
Congratulations to Matt Tart in Gypsy Girl, who not only took Line Honours less than a minute ahead of Simon Veysey on Hera, but also won on corrected time. Sadly the wind dropped away at a crucial time on Sunday so only one boat managed to finish - helmed by Cadet Vice Captain Hattie Kent!
A big thank you to Tristram Mayhew, who was Race Officer for both days and Tony Tomkins for doing the results.
Bar opening times during Junior Week
Please top up your red card before coming along, to keep the bar service running as smoothly as possible.
We're looking forward to a busy bar and terrace over Junior Week. We will not be operating table service over this time, but instead will be serving drinks and snacks from the snug window. Below are all the bar opening times and JW events. Please note that some of the timings are different to our normal opening hours, so do check before coming to the club. For anyone not taking part in JW, or who has not bought a ticket for a particular event / party, the terrace and club will not be accessible at certain times (ie for cadet parties and the Adult Bop).
Friday 6th bar opening 12pm -2pm / 4pm - 10pm
Member birthday party from 7pm -Bar and terrace open to members
Saturday 7th bar opening 12pm - 10.30pm
Junior Week registration from 4pm
Sunday 8th bar opening 12.00 - 10.30pm
Junior Week Family Supper from 6pm (ticketed event, club closed to non-participants)
Monday 9th bar opening 4pm - 8.30pm
Tuesday 10th bar opening 4pm - 7pm
Junior Week 14+ Black Tie Dinner 7.30pm - 12am (ticketed event, club closed to non-participants)
Wednesday 11th bar opening 4pm - 6pm
Junior Week Adult Bop - 7pm - 12am (ticketed event, club closed to non-participants)
Thursday 12th bar opening 12pm-2pm / 4pm - 8.30pm
Friday 13th bar opening 2pm 9pm

Cobnor Drive Notice JW
All BSC Members - Please be aware that the drive to Cobnor will be operating under a One-Way policy for JW. All cars that are ARRIVING must be given Priority. Please also observe that the speed limit is 20mph.
Car Parking - Parking at Cobnor for JW is by booking ONLY. Should you wish to purchase a parking pass please follow this link.
Ongoing COVID precautions
We continue to take the ongoing presence of Covid very seriously, so please wear a mask when moving around inside the club. Thank you.
BJW Reunion 2021 Saturday 14th August
Save the date for this year's BJW Reunion! It promises to be a fun afternoon of racing followed by drinks and dinner on the terrace and a special appearance from DJ Si.
Online entries will be open from next week and more details will be announced in next week's newsletter.
All updates will also be posted to the Facebook event page but if you have any queries in the meantime, please get in touch with Grace Radford.

Parking on the Quay - BSC Reminder
We would like to take this opportunity to remind everyone about the rules on parking on the quay.
There is no parking on the quay available for anyone except staff and/or those given permission by BSC and those explicitly engaged on club business. Drop offs are acceptable but cars must be moved after this has been completed.
Vehicles may not be parked inside or adjacent to the/any access gates of the Clubhouse. Clear access for Emergency Services must be preserved at all times.
MRSC Rowans Charity Handicap Races
On Sunday 8th August, Mengeham Rythe Sailing Club celebrates it's 22nd Rowans Charity Race!
