Membership Renewals - Reminder to Complete
This year the renewal process requires all primary members (whoever pays for your subscriptions in your household) to confirm their renewal online. Thank you to all those who have completed this action so far but if not please see instructions below. Please also note that you will only have to do this once.
For your renewal to be processed we need you to do two things as soon as possible:
- If you wish to pay by instalments, set up payment details for GoCardless (through the BSC website) - which is replacing our current Direct Debit system.
- Confirm your membership subscription tariff in line with the 2023 Scale of Charges. This is found in your members hub on the website.
N.B. You will not be able to book any events/training online until your renewal is complete. If you require any assistance please contact the office.
We have a step-by-step guide on the renewal process via the website here.
Centenarian of the Year
Dainty, Peter Nicholson's Sunbeam, has just been nominated for Classic Boat's Centenarian Of The Year.
She has competed in Bosham Regatta for more than 50 years. Do vote online to honour your fellow BSC member.
BSC Roast Lunch 29th January
The first BSC roast lunch of 2023 will be held on Sunday 29th January. A few places still remain on the second sitting at 13:30.
For details of the delicious roast pork lunch with all the trimmings and to book your place, please see here on the website calendar.
Don't miss out! We look forward to seeing you there.
A Happy Storey!
Not only has our Sailing Manager, Mike Storey, four Fusions to amuse him, he has now won first prize in the latest monthly lottery draw.
Second and third cash prizes are winging their way to Peter Nicholson and Roger Faulkes.
For more details regarding the BSC 50/50 lottery, see the website here.
BSC Exercise Class - Mondays
The BSC exercise class is held on Mondays at the club, from 17:30 to 18:30.
It's a brilliant class that caters to all abilities and focuses on strengthening stretches be it for sailing, rowing or skiing or just generally being more nimble.
Classes are run by our Coach Peter Haining. Book online here.
Sloe Fleet Championship
Have you made sloe gin this winter? If so, now is the time to get your entry in for BSC's inaugural Sloe Fleet Championship 2023!
We will have a blind tasting at the club on 10th February for BSC members, who will pay a modest sum to judge our efforts. Proceeds going to the BSC Youth Sailing Fund.
To enter your sloe (or other fruit) gin (or vodka), ping an email to bob@bob-murray.co.uk
Access Gates to the Quay
Would all members please be reminded that the access gates to the Quay (alongside Shore Road & The Meadow) must be locked after entering or leaving the quay.
There have been a number of occasions recently where they have been left unlocked. Please ensure that you lock the gates after use.
Many Thanks
