Bosham Masters 2022
Don't forget to book your place for the Bosham Masters which starts tomorrow! Forecast for all three days is champagne sailing weather!

This year has been generously sponsored by Stride & Son which has provided a 50% reduction from last years entry fees and includes a live band on Saturday, canapes, pre- regatta drinks and free teas.
Junior Regatta Sunday 29th May
Next Sunday is the BSC Junior Regatta, the second biggest cadet event of the year and one not to be missed!
Three BTB races for Optimists, Toppers, Fevas, 420s and Lasers with trophies and prizes to be won on the day.

Thursday 19th May BSC ROWING BOAT Launch
Thank you to an incredibly generous donor BSC has a spectacular, new, Ferrari red, sliding seat Quad which you may have seen on the terrace over the weekend in all her shiny glory.
It's time for us bite the bullet and launch her. Official naming and launch will be taking place tomorrow (Thursday 19th May) at 1:30pm. All members are welcome to come and watch and if you're keen have a quick go (Wellies or shoes that can get wet and tight tops ideally without pockets).
Regular bookable rowing sessions will commence next week and detail will be added to the website shortly and a full write up with pictures of the launch if you can't make it. Any questions drop Laura a message: paddlesports@boshamsaililngclub.com
Nab Tower Race
Despite less than ideal conditions, this years Nab Tower Race was no less memorable.

Congratulations!!!
Congratulations to Bosham sailor and BSC instructor Cossie Lewis who was one of the three helms for Exeter University who won the British Universities team racing championship last month.
She follows in her brother Dom's footsteps who was a helm for the winning Exeter Uni team for the previous two years.
Her team then went on to win the U21 cup at the Wilson Trophy in West Kirby, the leading UK team racing event of the year. More details at this link.
Antigua Sailing Week Success!
Congratulations to a combined team from Bosham and Itchenor that have returned from Antigua where they ran a two boat campaign in the 53rd edition of Anigua Sailing Week.
Hermes, a Pogo 12.5 helmed by Alistair Langhorne, won their class for the week overall. For full details see here.
BSC Cruisers at Bembridge
The BSC cruisers are going to Bembridge for the night of Sunday the 19th June. Both motor and sail boats are very welcome.

Trophy Returns Reminder!
With various events such as the Junior Regatta upcoming, please ensure you return any trophies to the office as soon as possible.
Trophies should be engraved and polished prior to being returned.

Honor Uloth Thanksgiving Service -Thursday 15th September
Some of you will remember Honor Uloth who was an enthusiastic member of the cadet Committee and took part in seven Bosham Junior Weeks up until 2019.
The sailing club was a big part of her life and Bosham Junior Week was the highlight of her year.
Very sadly she died in a tragic accident nearly two years ago and there will be a Thanksgiving Service to celebrate her wonderful life in Chichester Cathedral on Thursday 15th September 2022 at 14:30.
Anyone who would like to remember Honor is very welcome at the service.
Day out on a Type 45 Destroyer
Commander George Storton and his crew kindly hosted a few of us as part of an Affiliates Day on HMS Defender last week.
As part of the day we witnessed the incredible Type 45 Destroyer in action.
One lump or two? - BSC Celebration Mugs
To celebrate the Queen's Platinum Jubilee BSC has commissioned a limited edition of bone china mugs.
Every race winner in 2022 will receive one of these mugs! They are aslo available to purchase online or from the office at £8 each.
We only have 100 mugs up for grabs, so please do get in quickly if you'd like one. Once they've gone they've gone!
Dinghy Park Access Lane
A polite BSC reminder to please only access the dinghy park with a car if absolutely necessary.
Please ensure you keep your speed low to reduce noise and risk to children and pets.
If you are using the Dinghy Park please also remember to lock the gate so that everyone's property is kept safe.
