Bar Service Update
Wednesday 1st September
In keeping with the RYA and Government Guidelines, BSC will be back functioning in its pre-Covid way from Wednesday 1st September.
The showers and changing rooms are open and the bar is back operating as normal. As Covid is now an everyday part of our lives, hand sanitiser will be available around the club and whilst not compulsory, the wearing of masks is advised when moving around indoors. We will also be suggesting that the staff wear masks when the club is busy.
Monday 6th / Tuesday 7th September
Bar Closure
We will be carrying out essential maintenance work to the bar floor on Monday 6th and Tuesday 7th September, so on those dates, the bar will be closed.
BSC New Members
Just a reminder that this Saturday 28th August is the BSC New Member Induction.
To book your place please follow this link. The event starts at 10am.
We look forward to meeting you!
Regional Junior Championships 25th and 26th September
Entries are now open for the RYA S & SW Regional Junior Championships at W&PNSA. For more details and contact information see here & here.
Regardless of standard (minimum RYA Stage 2) there is racing for all in Championship, Regatta and OnBoard fleets. The weekend is a brilliant learning experience for all keen sailors.
The OnBoard fleet for sailors aged between 8 13 with a sailing standard of RYA Stage 2 is particularly good value at £25 for one day or £45 for the whole weekend and includes all tuition and equipment. Book OnBoard here.
BSC Lottery goes JW
The July 50/50 lottery was drawn on the terrace by Junior Week sailors. Many thanks to Pippa Shepherd, Izzy Perry, Edie Lewin, Lucinda Lewin, Sophie Fox and Lucy Fox for spinning the barrel, pulling out the tiles and calling the out numbers with the volume (and authority) of a 'starboard' shout.
The August lottery will be drawn on September 10...and it's BONUS time!
Half of the money raised each month is used to make special purchases that contribute to all members' enjoyment of the club. This year the lottery fund has purchased new terrace gates, kayak racks, kitchen and catering equipment, outdoor tables and benches, tandem SUP and additional bike racks are on the way.

Chichester Harbour Race Week

On Friday night the prize winners were treated to a special guest appearance by Eilidh McIntyre, HISC's newest Olympian who won gold in the Women's 470 event in Tokyo.
