BSC Newsletter 29th January 2021
Published 16:16 on 29 Jan 2021
On behalf of Bosham Sailing Club we'd like to thank our members that are on the front lines right now battling this awful pandemic.
Together you and your colleagues are working so hard to save lives and we can only imagine how stressful and tough things are right now.
We are so proud to count you as BSC members and our thoughts and prayers are with you and your amazing colleagues.
We know these are tough times and we want nothing more than to be enjoying our wonderful location once more.
The BSC team are working hard to respond to the ever changing circumstances and to ensure we get back up and running as soon as we are allowed.
In the meantime it is heartening to observe that our members remain positive and continue to do our bit to protect vital services by observing the rules.
Training News The BSC 2021 Training Programme is now live and bookable via the website Here. BSC Race Coaching and RYA Courses can currently only be booked by BSC members. While we have held them for first access to BSC members, from 1st March RYA courses will be opened up to non-members also - so we recommend booking ASAP! Any questions please get in touch with the Training team via Training@Boshamsailingclub.com Race Officer Training Join Dick Pratt for a 90 min session on how to be a Race Officer. Did you know being a Race Officer or Assistant Race Officer counts as a duty! To book and see available dates click here. Racing Rules 2021-2024 Did you know the racing rules were re-issued 1 January 21? This is part of a 4 yearly review cycle and they are available online. There is even a downloadable app with more details on the RYA website at https://www.rya.org.uk/projects/publications/Pages/world-sailing-app.aspx or by your favorite search engine! It's a great time of year to brush up on your rules and be ready to put them into practice as we return to sailing (and enthusiastically debate them in the bar).
