BSC Rowing Regatta

The idea for the Bosham regatta to be held at this time on the calendar was well researched. The Commodore and office staff helped in every way to facilitate a successful event.

The rowing committee along with visiting Coaches delivered excellent guidance for safety and general course layout.

We can now hold our own within the three Harbours rowing fraternity as we won some hard fought races. The mornings long event was a whooping 6.1km And the shorter course a 2.3km distance.

Everyone enjoyed the friendly atmosphere and hospitality.

The food was delicious!! This was from our local Bakery in Westbourne. "Mary and Sally - Thank You".

I personally would like to thank Karen Nash, Chris from Itchenor RC and Mike Gilbert, along with Jo and the rest of the teams.

Also Graham and Lyn for time keeping, and Neil for excellent support of myself on the day! Finally a huge thank you to Jane in the office for her wonderful practical help.

Tim Bailey gets a special mention in dispatches for being a star and subbing in to help win in the quads sculls. He kindly donated a Coastal single scull and an indefinite loan of sculls.

We as a committee will endeavour to be more visible on the website and help everyone to enjoy our future events.

Clubs are like big families. They help one another and achieve great things with likeminded passion. We as a large family are doing lots of excellent work in many areas, thank you for embracing my enthusiasm and passion for rowing.
