Bosham cadets compete at the 420 Worlds

Following strong performance at the 420 Youth Nationals and ranking events, India and Tom Eastwood, Zac and Pippa Shepherd and Ed Upton-Brown were selected to represent GBR at the 420 Worlds in Biscarosse France with Elsie Upton-Brown also electing to participate. This is the biggest Bosham contingent on the international stage in our memory.
Sailing in big fleets and hot, shifty conditions, the Bosham boats did us proud. Congratulations in particular are due to India and Pippa. India and her crew finished 17th in the female open category (ranking 8th nation) with Pippa and her crew finishing 5th in the female U17 category (ranking 3rd nation). Its worth noting that all these sailors began their sailing in Oppies at Bosham and have progressed from sailing in Cutmill to taking part in international events.
We have the biggest 420 fleet competing in Bosham Week in a few weeks time followed by the 420 Nationals in Brixham at the end of August. Please do contact any of the above families if you are interested in sailing a 420 outside our lovely Chichester Harbour.
