'Dainty' voted 'Centenarian of the Year' at the 2023 Classic Boat Awards

Many congratulations to Peter Nicholson and Mike Hollis, the proud owners of Sunbeam Dainty V1, who were presented with the Gstaad Yacht Club's very prestigious trophy for winning the Centenarian of the Year award for 2023 at the annual Classic Boat Awards.

Peter writes:

"Dear Friends of Dainty,

Thank you so much for your wonderful support in voting for Dainty in the Gstaad Yacht club / Classic Boat Centenarian Of The Year award. We are happy to tell you that you helped us amass 531 votes and be the clear winner.

Last night at the Royal Thames there was quite a gathering from round the world of the great and the good of yachting. The Dainty team included Sunbeam Commodore Alan Stannah, maintenance/shipwright Charlie Reed and, representing our loyal crew, David Giffard and Christine Graves.

As we pointed out strongly in our acceptance speech, the award really belonged to Dainty's designer and builder, Alfred Wesmacott.
