James Curtis - ILCA 7 Inlands National Champion

The weekend of 4th/5th November saw over 130 ILCA sailors gather at Draycote Water for the ILCA Inland Championships.

This was BSC's James Curtis's last big competition as a Youth sailor. He sailed in the ILCA 7 (Laser Standard) rig and faced the usual tough competition in shifting gusty strong winds.

He was delighted to finish the season and his youth era 6th overall (out of 31 ILCA 7s). Pleasingly he was 1st U19, and therefore ILCA 7 Inlands National Youth Champion.

Now at Southampton University he plans to continue ILCA 7 sailing (with a place in a UKLA U23 performance squad), alongside some university Firefly team racing, and occasional J70 events.
