The Swift Rowing Winter Series at BSC!

Last Saturday was BSC's turn to host the Swift Rowing Winter Series.
Peter Haining (our Rowing Class Captain), had organised rowers to come from as far as Lymington and the Thames! It proved to be a great rowing spectacle for competitors and spectators alike.
The Swift quads were raced all morning by teams not only from BSC, but also from Itchenor and the Coastal Rowing Academy (to name just a couple of Clubs). Valiant, our Club St Ayles skiff, had a time trial as well. The feedback from competitors was that BSC was an incredibly friendly, well organised Club.
Big thanks go to the race team of Adrian Weller, Rosemary Hanbury and Steve Barrett for their organisation on the Bridge. Paddy Mirams for doing safety in the cold for hours and taking some amazing pictures, which can be found here. Lastly to Laura Lewis who made enough soup to feed everyone, which was in danger of becoming the highlight of everyone's day!
The next date for your rowing diary is Saturday 23rd March when BSC will be hosting a very special rowing event. Our website will keep you up to date.
