WEBSITE NEWS
We are delighted to launch our new website this weekend and we hope you enjoy the redesigned look and feel.
This new platform provides us with:
- A vibrant location for all the latest Club news and information
- Integrated booking for events and club equipment such as club boats
- Replaces dutyman with a Duty Roster
- A live calendar that at all times will have the latest information – Subscribe to automatically receive updates
- Integrated Dinghy Park Management for the office team
- A website designed to be used on any device – PC, Tablet or Mobile Device
- AND LOTS MORE TO COME!
Over the next few weeks more functionality and content will be added, but we would love to hear what you think and adjust our course as necessary!
You will receive a NEW log in and PASSWORD over the next few days so keep an eye on your emails. This log in will give you access to the members portal where you can book events, sign up for duties and update your details.
Whilst the website is the public facing ‘shop’ window, we have also replaced our office database systems. This is a huge undertaking and my thanks go to everyone who has worked extremely long hours to make this as smooth a transition as possible. A special thanks to Keiron Holyome, Kathrine Turver, Jo Salmon and Kit Chapple who have been working so hard to get this right!

RACE OFFICER TRAINING
Dick Pratt is offering an interactive Zoom session which will give BSC Members the chance to learn and refresh their knowledge on how to Race Officer and Assist BSC club racing.
The session is based around 3 areas listed below.
1) Pre race day prep
2) Start procedure
3) Conduct, finishing process and wash up.
There will be lots of opportunities for questions!
Dates are Friday 26th February and Friday 19th March. The sessions run from 1800-1930.

CADET AND DINGHY PRIZE GIVING
RC Dinghies Nigel Russell and RC Cadets Katherine Rose hosted a joint prize giving on Saturday afternoon, 02 January by zoom. Approximately 40 members and their families joined the call which also included of a round-up of the year and some highlights to look forward to for 2021. RC Cadets commented ‘it definitely wasn’t the same as doing an awards presentation in person at the clubhouse followed by a drink at the bar afterwards however it was great to see so many familiar faces again and have the opportunity to recognise the various achievements over the year’. Well done to all the winners. Your trophies and plates/glassware will be available to collect from the clubhouse as soon as it is safe to do so. From this Sunday we will be offering oven ready roasts, which will be available alternate Sundays, delivered from 11am. Please get your orders for this weekends roast in by midday on Saturday 9th.
Roasts and meals subject to availability. Please email helenclegg@me.com to place orders. Meal orders close on Monday for Friday afternoon delivery. Payment by bank transfer or cash on delivery, invoices will be sent.
