Chaloner's Challenge Cup
Introducing Chaloner's Challenge Cup! To be awarded annually, Chaloner's Challenge Cup is a new initiative to recognise users of Chichester Harbour who have overcome personal challenges to be afloat.
After a rocky few years with treatment for cancer & the pandemic, Chaloner Chute was hit by a car last year and sustained traumatic injuries. Despite these personal hardships he has managed to remain sailing and keep his sense of humour. Throughout all this time, boating has been a mandatory therapy and brought him much joy.
Chaloner has donated a cup, to be awarded annually to any user of Chichester Harbour, of any age, who has overcome personal adversity to remain afloat. If you know anyone who fits the bill then please nominate them.
Any Harbour user who has overcome a challenge to remain afloat can be proposed. Submissions can be made by anyone, on behalf of anyone of any age, and all personal challenges will be considered.
The application deadline is 21st October 2022 - Midday
