What's New at Bosham SC

Welcome

A warm welcome to all our new members at BSC and welcome to our new look newsletter.

We will be sending out regular mailings and WhatsApp updates throughout the month as well, so keep an eye out for them as they will point to key events, dates and news at the Club.

Make sure we have your current email so we can update you via Club notifications and mailings.

Personal Sailing Tuition and RYA Cadet/Adult Courses

From the 22nd March, both Personal Sailing / Wingsurfing / Powerboating Tuition and RYA Courses are available to book - for members and non-members.

Spring First Aid Courses Available

Perfect for members (and non-members) to get safety-ready ahead of next season. The 11th April is currently available with more dates to follow shortly.


On The Water

Training

Remember: BSC remains a recognised training centre (dinghy, power-boat, rowing & more). Great time to brush up skills or for newcomers contact the office for availability.

Wingsurfing - we now offer this as a personal tuition session. Get up and winging!

Social Sailing and Learn To Race - Melvyn Cooper is back with us for a third year to run the popular Friday Social Sailing sessions - perfect for those getting back on the water or just needing confidence.

And NEW THIS YEAR Melvyn is running Learn to Race sessions on Mondays, getting the less experienced sailors into racing.

Dinghies and CDB

Thinking about entering dinghy or classic-dayboat sailing in 2026?

Now's a good time to check class lists, maintenance/tuning plans, or crew-up via the Crew Finder.

Rowing News

Rowing and Paddlesports sessions are ongoing and regularly available - keep an eye on the Calendar and sign up if you'd like to join our rowing sessions.

Equipment Hire and General Club Information

As we approach the upcoming season, refresh yourself on Club equipment hire and other useful Club information (Equipment, Rowing, Lottery and more),

via our Welcome Pack that goes out to all new members.


Club Life & Social

House events

Check the House calendar for all of our upcoming social events in March.

Weds 4th Scottish Dancing, Friday Supper on March 6th.

Six Nations Rugby will be shown on the big screen at the Club, for all available dates check the House calendar (link above).

Don't miss our last Reach Talk of the season with Ellie Aldridge from Emirates Great Britain SailGP / Team GB on 11th March.

The BSC 50/50 lottery draw is on Fri 13th followed by a Charity Quiz Night with the new members coffee morning on Sat 14th.

Mother's Day Roast Lunch Sun 15th with the Annual Boat Jumble on Sat 21st.

The bar and restaurant remain open year-round, a perfect place for post-sailing catch-ups or evening drinks. Bar opening times.

Looking ahead

If you have any ideas for events - bar nights, quiz evenings or themed dinners let a member of staff or a Flag Officer know.

For members new to BSC (or recently returned): welcome aboard! There's a warm, inclusive community here from cadets to cruisers to power-boaters.

Safety First

Please make sure your safety gear, lifejackets, and membership paperwork are up to date before heading out this season.

New to BSC or haven't sailed in a while?

Reach out there's plenty of support for beginners, whether it's dinghies, classic dayboats, rowing, or paddlesports.

WhatsApp Communities

Are you aware of our Club WhatsApp communities? These were set up last year so we could keep in touch via WhatsApp whilst improving security and facilitating communications.

Visitors to BSC

As we approach the start of our 2026 season, both on and off the water, we warmly welcome all guests of members to BSC.

Please ensure that you sign in your guests at the front door as this is an important requirement of our Club License.
